06/19/06: Meet Winnie the Cooper!
Yay she arrived, and a month early, so let the adventures begin! So it rained on day 2 and now I have no pretty pictures of her all pristine, so sad, although amusing since the word DRY appears in the plate number.Winnie got her name cause well I have always been told things like "Hey you look just like that girl, Winnie, on The Wonder Years!" ever since I was small and the show first came out. Even in college when I chopped off my long hair, I can remember whispers behind me "Oh my gosh!! Winnie Cooper cut her hair!!" Um ok they were loud whispers and my name is not actually Winnie. Also one of my friends from grade school has the same name as the actress Danica McKellar only spelled differently, which is pretty rare I would think.
So now I no longer have the long hair and I am considerably older than the character (although only one year younger than the actress) and I was still told that I look just like her, while at the office and by the water cooler no less! I wonder if they meant I look like the character this time or that I look like Danica? hmmm. This was about a week before the car's arrival, and several years since the last occurance of, oh you look just like... So since my cars always get named*, I present you with Winnie the Cooper! Oh yeah, there is also the last name is part of the cars' model thing :)
*Other cars names include: Shake 'n Bake - VW Rabbit when it was starting to say goodbye, The Beef - Hyundai just so we could yell "Where's the Beef?", and Silver Bullet - 95 Eclipse that never really could go as fast as a bullet.
