Blocking soon!

I have finished knitting the front and back of the gradient sweater. It was such a quick knit! I used the larger skeins of the yarn so I did not end up getting to the white but I think this still looks pretty so I think I will stick with it as is

Finished something!

This has been mostly done for over a year but since it is still snowing and cold here I finally finished it and still get to wear it right away! Love the yarn and color and pattern. Yup loved everythig about this project by Bergere.

Next up is this color changing yarn. So far am done with the ribbing on the back piece. I love knitting with sock weight yarn for sweaters! Am curious to see how this will turn out.  I bought 2 different lengths of yarn as I was not sure how much I need to get through the gradient. We shall see how it goes.

Holy Tomatoes!!!

Wow started this post in October and am just now realizing I never finished it :) Anyway happy 2015 all and here is to my old garden :)

Seriously excited by the harvest so far! We get pretty much a bowl full a day, so it is insane. I have been freezing the cherry ones but I think I may try canning the larger tomatoes, we shall see how that goes. Also on our third or fourth round of mega eggplant harvest so that has been awesome too. There are also five or more currently coming in again!

Up soon will be a bunch of sweet red peppers and the cabbage is getting pretty darn huge too so we might actually get full heads of cabbage, cool!

Started writing this post a couple weeks ago, since then tomatoes have been everywhere. I made the most yummy sauce with them and our hot peppers and parsley, am totally loving cooking and eating home grown veggies. This gardening thing has been so worth the work!

Cabbage and sweet red peppers were cool too, never thought I would get such large produce in the end.

I want to try to make stuffed cabbage too since I did get large enough leaves, yay!

Ok enlisted the little brother to make the stuffed cabbage and it came out great!

First Harvest!

Some garden pics from our little plot. Plus our first harvest meal – grilled eggplant with a hot pepper tomato sauce, yum! Am excited cause the eggplants already have new ones coming in so we should be getting more, not to mention the gagillion yellow cherry tomatoes on their way. Man the couple we tasted were so yummy, I can’t wait to snack on more.

Summer of gardening!

Have been playing in the dirt a lot these past few weeks. While I have been doing some flower stuff for a few years now this is the first time growing veggies so we shall see how it goes. I am excited that there are actual tomatoes, peppers and eggplants forming on the plants, so far so good :)

Really everything is much bigger now than the plot photo shows, so I will have to get another photo one of these days.

New Notebook

Check out my cool new notebook from my brother. It is fun cause you can play with the letter tiles any way you want and i really needed a new notebook for my in progress knits so, Voila!
